Last Saturday night Hollywood brought glam to Washington DC for the annual Correspondants' Dinner at the Washington Hilton (bit of a tacky venue). Eva Longoria in Marchesa belongs to my top three. She kept it simple (no unnecessary bobbles) and she went short. I like it. She has nice legs; I'd show them off as well. Hair nice, make up nice, shoes & clutch perfect. All around just nice.
Charlize Theron in Emilio Pucci. No surprise here: Ms. Theron usually gets it right. I am not a huge fan of lace but she wears it well and is sexy but not blatantly so (like some of the others with boob alert) therefore appropriate for an event attended by the POTUS and first lady.
When I heard Kim Kardashian was invited to the event, I was somewhat perturbed. Whatever one thinks of her, she chose well. The emerald green suits her, it's different and the rest of the details (hair, make-up and jewels aren't over-the-top and quite perfectly matched) The gown is gorgeous (have not been able to find out the designer so if anyone knows, do tell) and yes, Ms. Kardashian looks great and appropriate for the event. Too bad she took her mother along.
In general, the pickings were slim finding the best-dressed. Honorable mentions to Kate Hudson, Ms. Deschanel, Martha Stewart (at least for the dress) and Irina Shaky.
